ABTG has donated more than $210,000 to arts nonprofits across the country.

Every Art Beyond the Glass event raises funds for a local cultural nonprofit organization. To date, ABTG has donated more than $210,000 to vital arts nonprofits across the country.

 

2012: The inaugural ABTG raised more than $6,000 for Inner City Arts, an arts education campus located in Downtown Los Angeles.

2013: ABTG II raised $13,700 for Art Share L.A. and saved the Arts District arts nonprofit from closing.

2014: ABTG III raised $18,000 for the Mural Conservancy to help restore Struggles of the World, a landmark freeway mural created for the 1984 Olympics.

2015: ABTG IV raised $20,000 for KCRW, acclaimed as one of the world’s most influential independent music radio stations. Proceeds went to KCRW’s Capital Campaign to build a 35,000 square-foot Media Center in Santa Monica.

2016: To celebrate its five-year anniversary, ABTG expanded to other cities for the first time and collectively raised $40,750 for nonprofits in L.A., Oklahoma City and Chicago.

ABTG V raised over $25,000 for Global Inheritance, a nonprofit that uses art to develop experiences that educate individuals about global issues and inspire them to take positive actions that create solutions.

2017: ABTG VI donated more than $23,000 to The Moth, the Peabody Award winning nonprofit that promotes the art and craft of storytelling.

2018: ABTG VII raised over $23,000 for the Women's Center for Creative Work, a not-for-profit organization that cultivates L.A.’s feminist creative communities and practices.

October 2018: The inaugural ABTG Oakland donated more than $11,000 to the Creative Growth Art Center, an Oakland-based non-profit that provides studios, gallery space, and supplies to more than 150 artists with developmental, mental, and physical disabilities, who work in a wide array of media.

January 2019: The first-ever Art Beyond the Glass New York raised over $10,000 for Sokoloff Arts, a women-led cultural institution creating inspired space and cutting edge experiences at Town Stages. Proceeds from ABTG NYC will go to the on-site Fellowship Program. Creative Fellowship recipients are encouraged to immerse themselves in the bustling energy of Town Stages and work in shared spaces when the venue is partially booked; take advantage of underutilized space between large bookings; and enjoy generous space subsidies for all kinds of projects.

June 2019: ABTG VIII broke the previous single-day fundraising record by donating nearly $40,000 to Beautify Earth, a 501(c)3 nonprofit and movement dedicated to making the world a brighter, more inspiring place.
